Throughout January and early February, His Grace Bishop Irenei, as part of his Theophany archpastoral visit to the Diocese, will lead a series of spiritual talks at the Diocesan Cathedral in Harvard Road. As is customary with Bishop Irenei's talks, these will not be 'lectures' or academic reflections, but practical talks focussed on the Church's authoritative teaching with regard to the Christian life.
Schedule of talks at the Cathedral:
While His Grace will also be giving talks at other parishes as part of his visit, below we offer the schedule of the talks planned to take place at the Cathedral:
- Wednesday 24th January: 7.00 p.m. — Talk.
- Friday, 26th January: 6.15 p.m. — Moleben with Akafist to the Theotokos, followed by talk.
- Wednesday 31st January: 7.00 p.m. — Talk.
- Friday, 2nd February: 6.15 p.m. — Moleben with Akafist to the Theotokos, followed by talk.
All are warmly invited to attend these talks, and especially the Divine Services that precede them on the Fridays. The principal language of the talks will be English, but questions may freely be asked also in Russian.
Please note that we are currently performing some website maintenance and interface updates. For a short time you may notice some odd display issues — these will only be temporary while we test a few new features for the Diocesan site.
